Improving personal awareness to enhance engagement
A group of 26 high potential leaders from 25 countries operating in a highly process driven, time-sensitive sector had excelled at ‘getting the job done’. But the cost of the excessive focus on task completion for more than 1,000 colleagues was low employee engagement, low motivation and increasing short-term absenteeism of pockets of staff.
The Regional HR Development Director realised that if these senior managers were to become highly effective leaders, partnering technical brilliance with Emotional Intelligence competence was vital.
An action-packed 6-day leadership development programme which included Emotional Intelligence coaching, challenging team exercises to draw out specific learning relating to self awareness, personal impact, leadership language, decision making and employee engagement, and more.
The delivery of the leadership programme was superb. There were many ‘a-ha’ moments and participants left the event knowing a lot more about their own behaviours, some of which had been standing in the way of their elevated performance in the past.
